From what I’ve uncovered in the Epstein files, Jeffrey Epstein and Nadia Marcinko began a sexual relationship sometime in 2003, if not earlier, and the U.S. government tried to cover up the fact that she was a minor at the time it began.
All of these communications seem to indicate that they were in a relationship of sorts by September 2003, if not earlier. If true, Pam Bondi deliberately redacted the collage above to hide the fact that the relationship started when Marcinko was still a minor.
In February 2004, Marcinko turned 18, and by the end of the year, she was participating in sex acts with Epstein and his victims, according to police reports. One victim told the authorities that she was introduced to her in late 2004. Another said that Epstein made her have sex with her with strap-ons and rubber penises, during which he reportedly took photos of them together and later placed them around his house. This is the same victim who said she was held down and raped by Epstein while Marcinko watched.
In January 2005, Marcinko used a Chase Manhattan credit card to purchase sex toys for Epstein, according to a letter written by Epstein’s attorney Gerald B. Lefcourt, to the U.S. government:
In [Marcinko’s] sworn statement of October 11, 2005, she referred several times to an occasion when she and [redacted] purchased and used sex toys, an event which [redacted] herself described as a ‘birthday gift’ to Epstein. Specifically, [redacted] stated that ‘…for [Epstein’s] birthday, [redacted] and I went shopping. And um, we got a bunch of toys…we went shopping at this like sex place…and um we bought a bunch of stuff and then we just went at it in front of him.’…In light of the foregoing, there should be no doubt that the credit card statement provided relates directly to [redacted] allegations and that this encounter occurred at a time when [redecated] was 18 years old.
Although Marcinko may have been 18 years old at the time, Epstein was clearly in a sexual relationship with her before the purchases. The earliest record I found for Marcinko was an email she sent to him in July 2004, from the email address Nadja3@post.sk. She wrote:
I hope you’ve had a nice relaxing day like me 😉 I went for a walk, I red the massage book, I missed you, I played with my new phone, I played with my camera, and I wanted to play with you soo much…
I only wish I was lying in bed with you right now. I was also THINKING about sending you another “miss you” c-card today, but I thought that you might prefer an n-card instead… ….and showing it to anyone would NOT be funny.
As lovey-dovey as this all sounds, their relationship was a rollercoaster. In 2010, Epstein sent her a scathing email about her nagging and how she added to his stress:
I am very stressed , but disciplined. These times arc the most stressful, therefore I have decided not to make important decisions, until I can breathe , at least a little. that is why i need time away. you add, rather than releive the stress. You were so different. , you were affectionate, and supportive,. said little, and smiled. Then Dana, –just one thing. please dont do just one thing. if you really love me , how can you continue to do just the one thing i can’t live with.
I told you on the street that if i gave in to your whiniing it would be the beginnng of the end. IF you , are there for me , i will be there for you. I walked on the beach , in pb with you,and asked you to stop nagging. i told you that i loved only you and celina. I did not want to say no to either one of you . I asked you to stop nagging. I walked with you on the ranch, 5 years ago, when you were nagging about JEnn, I asked you to stop nagging. I have had the same discussion in the library in paris, the sixth floor. in new york, and at least four times in prison and five in the escalade.
Imagine, some rapist like Epstein lecturing you from prison about your “nagging.” Unreal. After reading dozens, maybe hundreds, of emails that document their relationship, I can say with certainty that it was incredibly toxic and abusive. That’s not to say Marcinko didn’t get anything out of it. But it started as a pedophiliac/hebephiliac relationship, after which she endured years of emotional abuse and control.
His reaction to her so-called nagging became an ongoing pattern for years, and there’s a good chance that anyone who has been in an abusive relationship will be triggered by the level of gaslighting and abuse found in his emails to her.
For the remainder of 2005, I could only find a handful of emails between the two of them. On November 27th, he wrote, “You are good with photo shop,” and on December 16th, she wrote, “I’ll trade you a picture of my belly for a picture of yours.”
On December 18, she asked him if he wanted her to pick up some bathrobes for him. He replied, “Buy five interesting ones…bathrobes…silly,” which seems to indicate that she had been successfully groomed to the point where trafficking had become normalized. A few days later, she joked that he was “stuck with her” after she went to the embassy, I’m assuming, to renew her visa.
Although Epstein was incredibly abusive, she seemed to be the only one who regularly called him out for his behavior. Other girls may have done the same, but because their conversations took place in person rather than electronic correspondence, as we see with Marcinko, we’re not aware of it. Or, the government’s still hiding these records. Or, it never happened. Anything’s possible at this point. For example, on December 22nd, the two of them argued over her cellphone, and she accused him of cheating:
Marcinko: We came to presov 2hrs ago. My laptop is broken (the monitor doesnt work at all ) I just got all your emails. What are you talking about? People were calling me on my cell phone and it was working fine..I left messages with leslie, anna and miles in the past two days. I even spoke to jeanluc this morning. You were unavailable.It´s funny that you somehow cannot reach me when you are with Dana again. I dont have to go through miami, I will come as late as you like !
Epstein: [T]hat is not fair…. ask somone of your choice to call the cell phone number you gave…. ask ana .,.ask lesley,,, we all called repeatedly, but got the message, the celll phone is not allowed to receive calls…. and then apologize…regarding flying though miami ,, I wanted you to come earlier not later,, but not thorugh miami….. eva’s plane is leaving from new york , mon morning…. I have tried the new number you left,,, but is consistenalty busy.
On December 28th, he sent her another email, “This one looks like after you killed your parents you chopped them up and made soup.” Yikes.
